At Teanaway River with the Plein Air Artists

My husband Lucas, my daughter Marion and I went to Teanaway River to watch the Plein Air Artists at work...........................

The artists met up in Roslyn - a charming old mining town.

In Roslyn

From Rosyln, we went to Teanaway River. The painters set up their own painting sites.

My son Roy setting up his own place, and one for his father too.

What a magnificent scenery. I was so happy to be there to see the great view and fall colors.

Lucas with his watercolor, getting the hang of it. Look at all the golden trees!

 Bubbling river

Mr. Robin Paul Weiss, the artist and his painting.

 Another artist at work.

Beautiful Fall scenery.

Roy's plein air art work.

Roy did two paintings on that day. This is another one

Nice work, Roy!

In Seattle

Hello, I am right now in Seattle visiting my son Roy. Together with my husband Lucas and daughter Marion, I am here purposely for the autumn season to feel the crisp air and see the wonderful display of fall colors. I hope it is not going to be too cold for us here.

Security Under God's Protection

Committing Psalm 21 to Memory. Writing it down......praying for a safe and good and pleasant travel.

You who dwell in the shelter of the Most High
Who abide in the shadow of the Almight
Say to the Lord, "My refuge and fortress, My God whom I trust."
God will rescue you from the fowler's snare, from the destroying plague,
Will shelter you with pinions, spread wings that you may take refuge;
God's faithfulness is a protecting shield.
You shall not fear the terrors of the night,
Nor the arrow that flies by day,
Nor the pestilence that roams in darkness,
Nor the plague that ravages at noon.
Though a thousand fall at your side,
Ten thousand at your right,
Near you, it shall not come.
You need simply watch the punishment of the wicked you will see
You have the Lord for your refuge
You have the Most High your stronghold.
No evil shall befall you,
No affliction come near your tent
For God commands the angels to guide you in all your ways,
With their hands, they shall support you
Lest you strike your foot against a stone.
You shall tread upon the asps and the vipers
Trample the lions and the dragons.
Whoever clings to me, I will deliver
Whoever knows my name, I will set on high
All who call upon me, I will answer
I will be with them in distress
I will deliver them and give them honor.
With length of days, I will satisfy them and show them my saving power.

O Lord, please do protect me and my family from all harm and danger. Keep us safe and grant peace. Give us all good health and bless us in all our endeavors and undertakings. I call on you each day my Lord. Do not forget the children who call on you. We love you O my God!

Updates November 25, 2014: Thank you God for the safe travel of all family members. Lucas and I are now safely home. Thank you so much. We shall continue to pray for your protection and blessings O dear Lord and let us never depart from Thee O God. Thank you very much!!!

Reunion Hype

Meeting, talking, texting, emailing, calling..........together with my bosom buddies and high school friends and former classmates, we are all busy getting in touch for the forthcoming class reunion to be held in Cebu this coming November. We have listed 26 members so far and hoping for others to join in at the last hour. Class funds from contributions and donations have also started to add up. Yesterday, the organizers had a pre-reunion logistic meeting at SM North, so far everyone has been cooperative and helpful up till now. I think, this get together is definitely going to be fun and memorable. I have observed that despite the gray hair and wrinkles, intrinsically we haven't changed much from those high school days. Hahaha! See you again everybody!

My Miracles of Flowers

Yesterday October 1st was the feast day of St. Therese of Lisieux, which was also the beginning of the month of the holy rosary. I got these bunch of flowers when a vendor came to the store in the afternoon. She occasionally came to sell yellow mums to the office secretaries, but yesterday she had 5 red roses and a bunch of pink anthuriums remaining for sale. All of a sudden I remembered the significance of the feast day, so I quickly bought the whole bunch. It may not come for free as it happened to most petitioners but I was happy to be able to get hold of the flowers and at the same time helped the vendor meet her quota for the day. I believed these flowers just simply came for me. Five red roses for my 5 children and the rest of the anthuriums for all my other petitions as well. Thank you St. Therese for my miracles of flowers yesterday!
