Basing from the Chinese lunar calendar, today is mid autumn. It is the time of year when the moon is brightess. It is an auspicious day where the (Chinese August) Moon Festival is being celebrated. According to old folk's belief, this is the best time of the year to embark on any activities like wedding, transfer of residence or start of a business.
It was during this time of the year, that the family transfered residence in 1980. We have been living in this house for 26 years now. Tonight, we shall be celebrating the August moon festival at home with friends by playing the lucky dice game. Elsewhere many people are playing similar games too. Happy August Moon everyone!
