- We celebrated 2013 the year of the water snake Chinese new year's eve with the usual fun fare of honoring our forebears with food offerings and a family dinner. This year, Lucio, the eldest brother of my husband Lucas was around for the celebration, so I cooked the traditional Chinese fresh lumpia which was his favorite. The food served were mostly symbolic: noodles for long life, fish for prosperity, dumplings for good fortune etc. I also decorated the house with auspicious objects, put plants and flowers around for good feng sui. Here's greeting everybody "Gong Xi Fa Cai"! A prosperous happy new year to all!

Nice post! :) I like the flowers, they look so festive. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the pink Adelfa was really in full bloom. The plants and flowers give our house a pretty good cheerful look. Good feng sui! Thanks :)
